Kigelia: hormone-like action.

Kigelia is an african tree, whose fruit is used to heal multiple health conditions thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties: rheumatism, snake bites, syphilis, but it's also used by african women in their beauty routine for keeping their breasts firm, since it contains flavonoids which stimulate micro-circulation.
Moreover it's been proven to be useful for treating wounds, eczema, psoriasis, acne and sun damaged skin. What a treasure, isn't it?

What's new on Aroma-Zone?

As you know I regularly take a look at Aroma-zone website, because it has been one of my favorite e-shops for years and I'm one of their greatest supporters :) 
They have changed some things lately, like the majority of the packaging of their full size oils, floral waters and creams (they are now made of 100% recycled plastic, one more big plus for them!)  and also they have started to 
sell their sample sizes in tiny bottles made of glass (one more 'coup de coeur' by AZ team!). 
Among the news on AZ website, here I show you the most interesting ones: 

ECRAN SOLAIRE NATUREL 

It is an active (made of Titanium Dioxyde and Karanja oil) to create your sunscreen cream. This is such a great solution for those who are used to prepare every cosmetic on their own (so I'm talking about people who do it professionally, not 
those who do it as a hobby because it might turn out to be a dangerous one!) I personally prefer creams made of 'chemical sunscreens' because they 
are more effective without any doubts, so I prefer them on my skin to be sure I'm safely protected from UV rays. 

DIY Deo Roll-On: the Glorious 5 plus 1!

Such a strange title for a DIY, I recognize it. I just found a great recipe for an effective and delicate deodorant, without using alcohol or potassium aluminum. The latter is not a harsh ingredient, but it doesn't allow your skin to breath, because it is a very powerful astringent, so it doesn't let your skin expel the toxins trapped in your body as it should. I'll keep on using potassium aluminum without problems in 'special occasions', otherwise I'll stick with this more physiological version. By the way I've purchased two new deodorants, just to get inspired for future recipes; as soon as I try them out, I will let you know my opinion. 

Base Shampooing Neutre by Aroma-Zone

As I had anticipated previously, I couldn't avoid to try this natural neutral shampoo. It intrigued me a lot like every new entry on Aroma-Zone website -.-''

Since Aroma-Zone is coming out every month with lots of new entries in the natural cosmo-world, I thought it would be nice to dedicate a post to those which appealed me the most! 

Base Shampooing Neutre 

You probably know my predilection for their Base Lavante, which I've been using with satisfaction for years to wash my skin and hair, a multipurpose friend! Now AZ decided to propose a Shampoo Base, a very delicate shampoo to be used on a daily basis and to be enriched with the ingredients of your choice. Like always, we are talking about a cheap solution, since you can get 1 litre of shampoo for only 14,90€. I'll certainly give it a try!

Helichrysum Italicum: the Flower of Immortality

Immortelle (the French name of this flower) is a recent discover I made. It is a golden plant which grows in rocky or sandy areas in the Mediterranean zone and has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for cosmetic issues and reliefing pain. I've made its acquaintance by getting a bottle of 'Immortelle' water, chosen for its calming and soothing effects on the skin. 

This summer fight against Cellulite naturally!

I've been trying two famous natural 'Cellulite-fighters' and I'm gonna share with you my thoughts!  
Just before starting, let me leave you a quick coincise reminder: what really fights against cellulite and water retention is a healthy lifestyle, not just a simple cream! 
Once you've found your way to be healthy and fit, then you might think about getting an 'external treatment' to reduce unaesthetic signs!  
I personally chose an oil based treatment by Khadi (to focus on the massaging part of the job) and a light cream by Aroma-Zone. 

DIY: Eau Micellaire (Micellar water)!

 

Micellar waters have spread worldwide, almost every brand produce its version. It is a delicate make up remover and cleanser which was created to remove dirt without 'threatening' the skin balance and hydration. What if I told you that you might create your own one at home easily and quickly? Believe me, another lazy-proof DIY! 

All you need is: 

- demineralized water (the one you pour in the iron) 

- a cosmetic actif called 'Concentré micellaire' (INCI: aqua,sodium lactate,sodium PCA,mannitol,lecithin,sodium cocoyl glutamate)

- preservative. 

The main thing to know is that this recipe will cost less than 3$ for 100 ml, isn't it an ecological deal?! :)   

Here is my quick and detailed recipe: 

- 90 ml of demineralized water 

- 10 ml of 'concentré micellaire' 

- 20 drops of Cosgard
