ELFavourite Lipsticks!

I lately got two pretty new mineral lipsticks from ELF, since I've always appreciated the quality of them. I made a review long time ago, well my opinion about these is still the same, they have a perfect INCI, they have a gorgeous colour range, the only downside is that they last so little, but that has never been a super problem for me (just keep in mind if you intend to buy them). Ok, I purchased again two reddish shades because I think they best suit my 'face colours', my hair and my personality! :)
I'll leave you with the swatches, but before let me just shortly describe the shades I chose: 
- Rich Raspberry: a plummy rose, with a sheer finish 
- Barely Bitten: a strawberry red with tiny golden orangey particles, also sheer. 

ELF Studio Mineral Powder Brush

I'd define it as a lovely brush to apply blusher, it has a perfect shape. If you are familiar with Elf brushes, this is a little bit smaller than the Studio Blush Brush and has got a more 'anatomical' roundness that makes it easier to evenly apply powder products. 
I'd recommend it 100%, for once in my life I feel like doing it ;)

Why do I like ELF? As many other girls around the globe, I appreciate this 
brand because its products have a good quality at a pretty low price, so I'll give it a well deserved 10. Moreover I have to say that I love the fact that it is an officially Cruelty Free brand, so in this case my rating will rise to 10+!  (: 


My favorites, real favorites, that I've been enjoying for years, are: 
- Bamboo Powder Brush, so big and soft, ideal for buffing finishing powder or bronzer all over the face 
- Kabuki Brush, even softer than its previously cited cousin, I usually use it for applying mineral foundation (for a light coverage) or finishing powder 
- Lip Stains, wonderful product for a wonderful value, it isn't drying at all, the colours are rich and the staying power is really impressive, I love them! 
- Waterproof Eyeliner Pens, very quick option for lining your eyes in a 'blink' time, the nib is thin enough to realize a subtle eye line (the only downside is that they usually get dry quickly).

ELF Mineral Lipsticks Swatches

I've decided to dedicate a post to these good lipsticks from ELF because they deserve it. Why? 
PROS. 
- Good pigmentation 
- Hydrating and moisturizing formula 
- Good staying power 
- Good price (5$ each) 
Moreover they have got a pretty good INCI, don't you believe it? Let's analyze it together: 
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Ceresin Wax, Microcrystalline Wax, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Paraffin Wax, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Tocopherol (Ve),Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vc), Retinyl Palmitate (Va), Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742).  


As you can see it contains four different vegetable oils, a little bit of shea butter and vitamine E, not bad at all for a 'drugstore lipstick'. 

Here you have the swatches of the shades I own:

1- Party Pink 
2- Nicely Nude 
3- Natural Nymph 
4- Runway Pink 
5- Ripe Rose 
6- Cheerful Cherry  


NOTES: as you can see, there is not much difference between the shades number 1 and 2 and the number 3 is really clear, I wouldn't recommend it to very pale skintones in order to avoid the 'death effect'. 
My favorites? Nicely Nude and Cheerful Cherry, the only two shades that I'd recommend for real.

ELF Radiance Enhancer and All Over Color Stick Swatches

Today I'd like to show you the swatches and talk about two illuminizers by ELF. 
The Radiance Enhancer gives a nice discreet everyday illuminating touch in a liquid formula, while the All Over Color Stick has a less illuminating power and it's in a creamy formula. 
I personally have tried them both in the Spotlight shade, in fact they're pretty similar, but I prefer the Radiance Enhancer because it's a lil bit shinier (the Stick is almost invisible even though it has more pigmentation) but the All Over Color has a wonderful lemony orangy perfume!!  







Would I buy them again? I'd purchased again the Radiance Enhancer but I'd leave to others the All Over Color Stick!

The Best Cheap Concealer 2011

Hello, 
the undereye concealer that followed me during the whole 2011 has been the Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter by ELF . 
I always have problems when it comes to undereye concealing because I've a really reactive-sensitive-dry eye area. But this little guy works so well for me, I've got the fair one, 
a perfect match for my skintone. On the other side of the tube we have an highlighter, a nice shimmery pearly white-based shade even though I don't use it so often because I prefer highlighters that don't contain shimmery particles. 


Price: 4 € or 3 $ in the USA
Weight: 5 + 5 grams 




PROS. 
- A really light formula that applies easily 
- An illuminating effect, great for the undereye area 
- 5 grams of product that will last you for a long time 
- A relatively cheap price 
CONS. 
- The tube is so uncomfortable, moreover there was a loss of product in the middle so that I had to transfer the product in 2 jars 
- If you have really deep and dark undereye circles I don't think this is gonna be enough because of the very light and liquid formula.
